About Us
Last updated:
TrueCalcu is a free collection of financial and everyday calculators built for people in the United States and Canada. Our goal is simple: give you clear, accurate numbers — your real take-home pay, your true mortgage cost, what your savings could grow to — without signing up, without sales pitches and without collecting your personal information.
What makes our calculators different
- Built on official data. Tax brackets, payroll deductions and contribution limits come directly from the IRS, the Canada Revenue Agency, Revenu Québec, state revenue departments and provincial finance ministries.
- Always current. Interest rates, exchange rates and inflation figures are refreshed automatically from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED), the Bank of Canada, the European Central Bank and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Every calculator shows the date it was last updated.
- Transparent methods. Each calculator explains its formula, its assumptions and its limitations, and links to its sources.
- Private by design. Calculations run in your browser. We never ask for your name, Social Security Number or Social Insurance Number.
How we keep things accurate
Tax rules change every year — and sometimes in the middle of a year. We review every calculator when governments publish new rates (usually October to January) and whenever a budget or new law changes the rules. You can read the full process in our Editorial Policy.
How we are funded
TrueCalcu is free to use and is supported by advertising. Advertisers never influence our calculations or content. Ads are always labeled and kept separate from calculator controls and results.
Important
Our tools provide estimates for educational purposes. They are not financial, tax, investment or legal advice. Please read our Disclaimer and talk to a qualified professional before making important decisions.
